I did suspect username was not my email. This only works if the domains are under the same provider and account. Eventually, D-Link caught on, and kicked off everyone that couldn't verify they actually owned a D-Link router with a valid serial number and MAC address. Same error over and over 🙁 I was out of ideas, but noticed that you don't actually need to use login information to update the ip.
