Happy and resumed my work... SO annoying and frustrating. My problem was that one of the buttons stayed lit up, even upon restarting and reinstalling QuickSet (try that first). Neither the touch-sensitive eject nor the regular eject key on the keyboard do anything. I appreciate you taking the time to share this, this whole keyboard issue was driving me nuts!Thank you so much! If driver updates don't help and the devices are shown when you toggle "show hidden devices" in device manager, you might need a troubleshoot to re-enable your usb hub! It's a 1535 15.4 inch screen if that means anything.
It's going on two weeks now without being able to use my touch buttons and it's irritating the crap out of me.
I think that it will work because I have read numerous posts online where people had this problem while running Windows XP Pro. Everyone here is a volunteer, so you might have to wait a spell before we get back to you. Ontop of this issue, I have the intermittent loss of web browsing - has anyone come accross that one too?
It worked. http://getplaycraft.com/dell-studio/dell-studio-dvd-drive-not-working.html I followed the instructions and took the battery out etc… and it works perfectly fine now. All Rights Reserved. Opened the laptop and pulled up the touch panel. I'm currently waiting for it to finish shutting down due to updates, but when it does i will try the shutdown and battery ideas. Somehow, I can't open the DellTPad.exe. http://getplaycraft.com/dell-studio/dell-studio-one-monitor-not-working.html Please try again now or at a later time.

Can you help? http://getplaycraft.com/dell-studio/dell-studio-one-touchscreen-not-working.html After just resorting to uninstalling the ALPS device itself from the device manager list I noticed the touchpad function would return to normal, only to revert back to semi-functional after windows
That's not the worst problem I had either. I'm not sure what laptop/OS you are running, but go to support.dell.com and search for touchpad drivers, and see what you find. It asks me to run the program but it never actually runs the computer acts as if I hadn't done anything. The "take out battery and unplug AC" trick works, but only until it acts up again!
But the eject touch pad button is staying lit up, and it wont unlight, and none of the other buttons will respond. What a bloody mission, but another God-damned windows problem bites the dust... You have to have the SATA drivers in order to install XP. Click here to join today!

Reply phil says: March 7, 2009 at 7:07 am i don't underdstand how dell is getting away with this. As far as I can tell, these are not available new so, Google Dell 1735 Power Button and you will find them for around $15.
Please try again later. Now where do I find the driver, and I mean a direct link to the download for such a driver, I lost just about everything (including my mind). Hence I've changed my laptop so Fn keys behave as function keys, not multimedia. Zuggel, Feb 27, 2012 #15 Sponsor This thread has been Locked and is not open to further replies.
