Dell support will charge to help me since I'm out of warranty (even though it's highly likely to be an issue with the eSATA since I got my system). The "ESATA" field is listed below the 5 SATA fields. I simply bought a new enclosure (around $20), and put the drive in that, and all was well. i tried doing 2.4.0 without the rollback and just fixing that usb problem manually, but the esata problem was still there.

This may be your issue. Are your drives set to AHCI in BIOS(the 3 choices are usually AHCI, IDE and RAID. RAID doesn't work for Pro Tools. In fact, I would have done that before flashing my BIOS!
