Not working. Chrome For Work Chrome 28 has a change that queries Windows for GPO directly instead of going through the registry, hence registry settings that get created out of band will be ignored. I work at an university with thousands of users. Doing these changes using local policies is not going to work, as we are globally distributed but centralized IT and centralized AD.

I actually only need this now that Google is no longer supporting simply copying the Chrome folder from the default profile, which I think is complete bull. For most other software, his comment is here Comment 8 by cyborg1...@gmail.com, Apr 2 2015 Processing You do realize there are enterprise desktop management systems out there that do not rely on AD domains and use local GPOs instead? The only folder that shows up under Administrative Templates is now Google. I'm surprised Google would want their customers to send more money to their competitor. Chrome Policies
Im not about to force permission changes or owner change son that folder on my DCs. First line is normal as we don't have machine based settings for the Chrome GPO. The home page button doesn't even work. Both latest MSI and ADMX. So the only thing we can do is to transform this "GPO", processed by the third party tool, to a local policy.
I do a new installation on a clean machine, no old chrome profile on it. maybe trying to prevent support calls where a user has lost control of their system. What am i missing here? Chrome checks if GPO is present.
Comment 1 by dnice...@gmail.com, Nov 14 2014 Processing I am experiencing the same issue on the same version. This bug is requesting that Chrome also check the registry to honor the settings there directly.
