I believe it may be a combination of getting the 1 out of the registry setting to disable clipboard AND log out log in.

By default, Remote Desktop Services allows clipboard redirection. Select the "Client Settings" tab, and make sure the "Clipboard" box is unchecked. This normally would be correct one would think. Are you able to copy and paste text between a local and remote NotePad session?
