I'm not sure whats up I haven't had this card for long. Everything's been working fine but I haven't been able to properly setup my sound-card to function properly. The headset that I have don't use a USB, they use jacks, I was looking for a headset with a USB. Sound is fine, no mic. If there were any Window corruptions with the device this will fix it. Sound Blaster Z Driver And you have tightly connected the removable microphone to the mic jack on the headset. however in windows 7 the drivers that were automatically installed upon the OS installation do NOT play audio at the regular decibel levels. If the back ones dont work it could be disabled in BIOS or have no drivers installed.Either way you certainly didn't need to buy a new soundcard to fix the issue.

Could you post a screenshot (similar to the one I posted)? There's a lot of audio jacks on the sound card, and I was just wondering if you knew the correct ones I should be using. So I go to the place where it was purchased. Sound Blaster Zx First thing, go to the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the entry for the SoundBlaster and then LEFT click "Uninstall".
